Walker Upper Elementary School Partners

The following donors have recently contributed to Walker programs.

Abundant Life Ministries: Provides tutors and mentors for students after school.
Boyd Tinsley Fund: Provides funds for music tutors and tennis scholarships.
Boys and Girls Club: Provides transportation, activities and a safe place to have fun for students.
Charlottesville Parks and Recreation: Works with school to provide extracurricular activities and holds events in Walker gymnasium.
Charlottesville City Police: Provide funds and materials for Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program at Walker.
International Rescue Committee: Provides support to students in refugee families.
Teaching American History Grants: Provide continuing education opportunities to social studies and history educators.
UVa ACE Program: Athletes from the University of Virginia visit students at school.
UVa Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program: Matches volunteers with students for mentoring relationships.
UVa Day in the Life Program: Provides tutoring and mentors for Walker students.
UVa Madison House: Provides tutors and classroom volunteers.
UVa Men’s Leadership Project: Provides leadership development and mentoring program for fifth grade students.
UVa School of Medicine: Provides tutors for Walker students.
Virginia Developmental Basketball League: Provides basketball instruction and game opportunities for students.
