We offer both Adult Education (Skills Development and GED Preparation) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. We also now offer some computer classes. Scroll down for the ESL class schedule and for computer class schedule.

ESL Civics and Citizenship - One day fast-paced review workshop 10:00am - 4:00pm Sat. Jan. 14 $0

Downtown English

Designed for restaurant and hotel workers who need English classes. Students must attend a 2-hour classroom session per week for help and guidance from instructor. Students study at home using DVD English lessons that focus on workplace vocabulary. Students can alsoo learn basic computer skills in a weekly computer class.

The afternoon class will include some group instruction the first 30 minutes

Career Planning

Every Thursday, 12:30-3pm, a PVCC career coach is available to help students with choosing a career, applying to PVCC, and applying for financial assistance. Drop in; no appointment is needed.

Dialogue Cafe

A FREE, friendly, and welcoming opportunity to meet with native English speakers for conversation, homework help, to ask questions about Charlottesville, and to share and celebrate all cultures!

Adult ESL speakers of all levels welcome! Community members welcome! No registration required. Come when you can!
