Charlottesville High School Announces New Head Girls Basketball Coach and Associate Head Basketball Coach
Jim Daly will become Charlottesville High School’s next head girls’ basketball coach. Coach Daly has been the girls’ varsity assistant coach for the last two seasons. He has been an assistant on various basketball teams at CHS since 1999. Coach Daly started teaching at CHS in 1999 as a history and government teacher and is currently an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher. Previously, he was the Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach at Orange County High School in 2006-2007 and was selected as the Central Virginia Girls’ Public School Coach of the Year by the Piedmont Basketball Officials Association. Prior to that, Coach Daly was on the women’s basketball staff at the University of Richmond as an assistant from 2002-2004.
Tabor Martin will become the Associate Head Coach of the girls’ basketball team at Charlottesville High School. Coach Martin has been on the girls’ basketball staff at Charlottesville High School since the 2002-03 season and is currently the Head Coach of the Junior Varsity girls’ team. Coach Martin is a proud 1984 graduate of Charlottesville High School and is currently a Product Manager for OFM Computer Systems, Inc. here in Charlottesville.
