Grants to City Schools Benefit Reading and ‘Restling
Two Charlottesville City Schools programs will benefit from two grants recently awarded. The Susan W. Davenport & W. Edgar Spigle Fund in the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation donated $300 to the Charlottesville High School Wrestling Team. The Book Buddies program, which trains volunteer tutors to work with students throughout the year, received $1200 from the Arnold Baggins Foundation as a result of a proposal by Melissa Kennedy Jurick.
