4th Graders Learn about College at UVa Visit
Fourth graders from Jackson-Via Elementary School spent a day at college on November 3. Their visit covered a range of experiences at the University of Virginia with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority guides. Students toured the Lawn and the Rotunda, had lunch in the cafeteria, met UVa football players, made cards for U.S. veterans, and participated in their own “final exercises” at the end of the day. The field trip is just one of many activities in the Charlottesville City Schools that introduce students of all levels to post-secondary opportunities.
