Teddy Bear Clinic at Clark Elementary
Four preschool classes will be visiting a Teddy Bear Clinic on Friday, January 29, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Clark Elementary School library. The clinic is being coordinated with the University of Virginia School of Nursing to acquaint young children with the process of physical examinations and the importance of good health.
Each child is given a teddy bear that he or she takes for a physical exam by nursing students —checking the bear’s blood pressure, heart, ears, nose, throat, height and weight.
(Snow make-up date will be February 5.)
