CHS Scholastic Bowl Team Wins District, Finishes 5th in state
The Charlottesville High School Scholastic Bowl team won the Jefferson District Championship yesterday at Louisa County High School. The team of 20 students is now 23-4 for the season and will be competing in the Regional Tournament on February 6 at CHS.
Earlier this month, the team finished fifth in the state and 77th in the nation in the Fall Knowledge Master Competition. The multiple choice test included 200-questions about math, science, social studies, literature, current events, and sports. Teachers Patty Vandever, Kris Kishore, and Suzan Hiller coach the team.
