Dr. Lacy Peale Appointed Principal of Venable Elementary School
Dr. Lacy PealeThe Charlottesville City School Division is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Lacy Peale as Principal of Venable Elementary School. She was recommended by a diverse committee of parents, teachers and administrators. Dr. Peale will assume her duties July 1, 2006.
Dr. Peale was Assistant Principal at Buford Middle School from 2002-2005, at which time she assumed the position of division wide Data Analysis Specialist.
Dr. Peale earned her BA in English and American Studies from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA., MEd in Literacy, Language and Cultural Studies and MAT from Boston University, Boston, MA, and PhD and Administrative Endorsement from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Peale has experience as a classroom teacher as well as assistant principal. Her focus on issues of curriculum, instruction and assessment guide her work as an administrator and directs attention on high academic achievement for all students. As a collaborative leader, Dr. Peale is excited to work with the students, teachers, parents, and other school leaders to continue in the excellent tradition of Venable Elementary.
