Four Charlottesville High School Orchestra Students Selected for 2006 All-Virginia Orchestra
Four Charlottesville High School Orchestra members earned selection for the 2006 All-Virginia Orchestra. Junior Shankar Srinivasan placed third among the 105 violinists who auditioned, and junior Fitz Gary earned fourth chair viola. Junior Mary Kate Smith and freshman Emily Cantrell also earned seats in the prestigious orchestra. Auditions were held in February at James Madison University for the All-State Orchestra, which will convene April 6-8 at James River High School in Chesterfield.
