Charlottesville High School Students to Participate in Mock Debate on Downtown Mall at the New Free Expression Monument
Thursday, April 27, 2006 12:00 p.m.
Charlottesville High School students Alex Tucker, Tyler Teisberg, Ruffin Evans, James Wellbeloved-Stone, Luke Allen, Bergen Nelson, Simon Wiener, Brendan Ford and Paul Wiley will be participating in a mock debate on April 27, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. The debate will take place at the new Free Expression Monument located at the East end of the Downtown Mall in front of City Hall. The event is sponsored by the City of Charlottesville as part of its Government Services Fair running from 9:30am — 1:00pm.
A debate on whether freedom of speech or a community's moral standards should have precedence when in conflict with one another. Media representatives are encouraged to attend. Live shots are pre-approved for placement on the East End of the Downtown Mall for this event.
