Intervention & Remediation
All students must have access to an engaging, rigorous, standards-based instructional program coupled with strategic supports needed in order for them to perform at grade level and above. All instruction, including intervention and remediation, supports this basic premiseâachievement of grade level standards. Strong core instruction includes differentiated instructional strategies and appropriate support for all learners, including English language learners, students with disabilities, and gifted students. In addition to core instruction, some students need targeted interventions based on the results of division and classroom assessments. Student progress must be closely monitored to determine the effectiveness of these interventions so adjustments can be made.
