Community Relations
Volunteering in Schools
Parent involvement and community support are vital to the well-being of our school system and, in particular, to each student who benefits from the personal attention that volunteers can offer. To volunteer, call the particular school that you are interested in or attend a PTO meeting to see how you might be involved as a parent. School phone numbers and locations are listed here, and on each school's home page.
The Charlottesville Adult Learning Center welcomes volunteers to assist with GED and ESL classes. Contact Cherry Stewart, Volunteer Coordinator, at 245-2815 or Cherry.Stewart@ccs.k12.va.us for information.
Volunteer opportunities for students can be found on the Career Assessment and Planning Page.
Our volunteer brochure (PDF) describes important issues and procedures that help keep our schools safe and secure places of learning.
