School Board Candidates Information 2011
Voters will elect four City school board members in November to serve four-year at-large terms starting January 1, 2012. School board candidates are nonpartisan although political parties may endorse candidates.
School Board Elections in November 2011
Petitions for candidacy must be filed by August 23 , 2011 with the City Registrar. Candidates must collect 125 valid signatures of qualified voters. The State Board recommends that candidates get at least half again the number of signatures to assure that enough signers are qualified voters.
